Michael Booher, AP

Michael Booher graduated from a comprehensive oriental medical program at the Florida School of Acupuncture in January 1994. He completed a post graduate 500 hour program in Chinese Herbal Medicine at the School of Complementary Medicine in 1996-1997.


He has been a Nationally Board Certified Acupuncturist since 1994. After opening East Wind Therapies, Inc. in 1994, with Heidi Regier, A.P. and Tom Caraway, A.P., Michael was an instructor and clinical supervisor at the Florida School of Acupuncture and the T’ai Institute of Oriental Medicine from 1995-2000.



He continues to enhance his training and knowledge of integrative medicine thru ongoing participation in cutting edge educational programs. Michael and his colleagues at East Wind Therapies are committed to providing the most up to date information, as well as, truly effective and affordable integrative healthcare to their patients.

Heidi D. Regier is a nationally board certified and Florida state licensed acupuncture physician. She has maintained an active medical practice at East Wind Therapies, Inc. in Winter Park, Florida since 1994. A graduate of the Florida School of Acupuncture in Oviedo, Florida, Heidi was also a faculty member there for six years. Heidi formerly served as vice president for the Florida Homeopathic Medical Society and as treasurer for the Florida State Oriental Medical Association.


Her post-graduate studies include extensive training in Homeopathy, Toyohari Japanese acupuncture and use of Low Level Laser Therapy.


As a primary care provider, she focuses on many aspects of gynecology, including female infertility, painful periods, PMS, fibroids, and endometriosis. She also treats musculo-skeletal conditions such as carpal tunnel pain, back pain, as well as knee, foot, ankle, elbow and shoulder injuries. Heidi has success in alleviating headaches, insomnia, and anxiety. A musician herself, Heidi is very helpful in addressing concerns of string, woodwind, brass and percussion players, as well as singers.


Heidi has been an Orlando resident since 1980. She enjoys gardening, bicycling, and attending arts events. Heidi plays clarinet in the 50 piece professional Orlando Concert Band.

Tom Caraway, AP

Tom Caraway AP has been a Florida Board Certified Acupuncturist since 1982 and Nationally Certified since 1994. In addition to private practice, he has served as Dean of Instruction, Principle Instructor, and Clinic Director at the Florida School of Acupuncture.


Tom utilizes a wide range of modalities from the high-tech (BioResonance Therapy, microcurrent) to more traditional hands-on (cupping, foot reflexology) to meet the individual needs of each client.


He is an outstanding manual therapist. His treatment philosophy is founded on health education and client empowerment through self care instruction.
